MEET THE ARTIST

John is a self-taught oil painter with a passion for the beauty and majesty of the sea.  Living the better part of 60 years in northern New Jersey, he would only have access to the beach during vacations, a few weeks a year.  Upon retirement in 2016, he and his wife of 45 years, Laurie, moved to Monmouth County.

Living now within a few miles of the beach is a dream come true.  John vowed that he would never take it for granted and begins each and every day by going to the ocean and witnessing it in all its glory.

John's art captures all that is coastal.  He has also done a vast array of subject matter for commissioned pieces including portrait work (human and pet), houses and barns, wildlife and so on.
